CCTV Analytics

State of the art software can now read CCTV images and interpret what is happening. It is possible for a system to identify when something like a bag has been left in an area it shouldn't be, or if motion seen by a camera is actually a person rather than an animal. Archive searching time can be saved when looking for a single event in a long time frame and man power saved in high security areas.

Video content analysis (also Video content analytics, VCA) is the capability of automatically analyzing video to detect, log and alert for certain specified events seen by a CCTV camera. This enables the system to operate more efficiently, saving time and money.

Reviewing video archives can be done faster, decisions can be made by the system to create alarms for notification of events where previously an operator may have been required.

Analytics are now used in gaining valuable information on customers buying habits, movement of products and gaining information on your customer's foot print of shopping preference gives you the edge over competition.
